Book Discussion: Smart Girl: A First-Gen Origin Story (A Black History Month Program) In-Person
Dr. La'Tonya Rease Miles discusses her memoir, Smart Girl: A First-Gen Origin Story, which traces her educational journey through nine different public schools. The book has been selected as a Common Read at Loyola Marymount University, Santa Clara University, and the Kessler Scholars Program. This event is presented by the African American Library Advisory Committee.
