Writers Helping Writers - Fun with Grammar: Avoiding Common Mistakes Errors In-Person
When writing a story or article, do you ever pause and look at a word, wondering if you have used it correctly? For instance, do you know the difference between the meanings of the words “homed” and “honed”? Many people don’t, so those words are often used incorrectly. Do you know where apostrophes belong? It really isn’t as easy as it may seem. Even some of the most highly respected news outlets make punctuation and word usage mistakes. This class will help you avoid some of those mistakes.
Claudia Hyslop will present on common grammar errors and frequently misused words on January 9, 2025 at the San Mateo main library. It will be a fun class!
