Writers Helping Writers - Working on your Poetry In-Person
Kate Adams will continue her poetry workshop in October. She had us look at line breaks when writing poetry in September. On October 10th, she will have us look at lines themselves. She will display some to start with, and invite us to use them to build a quatrain; then anther batch, or start from our own lines. No rhyming yet, just what's called blank verse. To show how natural meter can feel, we don't have to be afraid of it.
The Fault Zone poetry editor Kate Adams will give us a pitch and some advice for submitting to Fault Zone, the California Writers Club San Francisco/Peninsula anthology. If you are a member, the deadline is October 31st. This anthology has won national awards.
