Writers Helping Writers - Love That Book? Do Tell!

Writers Helping Writers - Love That Book? Do Tell! In-Person

What's the simplest, easiest favor that a reader can do for their fellow readers and the writers they love? It's to post reviews.

We're not talking about a deep literary analysis or a book report for your ninth grade lit class. All you need to share is your personal take, short-and-sweet "what I liked (or didn't) about this", shared on your favorite digital bookselling sites.  We'll chat about what does and does not belong in a review, where to post, how to anonymize your reviews if you want to, and allow plenty of time for Q&A.  You'll learn the differences between negative, critical, and bad reviews, but more importantly learn what it is that readers are looking for in reviews as they consider which books to buy next. As time permits, we'll unlock our phones and try posting a few reviews together, in a fun, supportive, mutual activity, and then sally forth to read more, secure in the knowledge we've encouraged writers to give us more of what we want and helped other readers discover what they'll like about the books we already love.
